McKenna’s Place in New Smyrna Beach plans to hold a fundraising event for the Marine Discovery Center on January 17.
The restaurant, located at 1443 S. Dixie Freeway, holds a special event each Monday from 5-9 p.m., in which it donates 10 percent of all dinner sales to a local non-profit organization.
MDC will be the selected nonprofit recipient on January 17, with proceeds benefitting the center’s mission to protect and restore Florida’s coastal and Indian River Lagoon ecosystems through education, research, and community stewardship.

MDC will have an information table at McKenna’s Place on the evening of the special event where guests can learn more about the center’s programs as well as participate in a raffle for free boat and kayak ecotour tickets.
