Guided Kayak Ecotours

Guided kayak ecoadventures in New Smyrna Beach, Florida — all levels welcome.

Paddle the Indian River Lagoon with a Florida Master Naturalist and learn about the importance of caring for this “cradle of the ocean” and birthplace of 95% of Florida’s fish and crustaceans.

Choose between paddling the tranquil backwaters with our daytime Ecotours or traveling under the beauty of a full moon sparkling on the tranquil waters.

Basic kayak instruction and nature interpretation included with each tour. This is a "hands-on and feet-wet" experience so bring drinking water, water shoes, suntan lotion and bug spray. No experience required.

Kayaking is a great way to see the lagoon, North America’s most diverse estuary, with its array of birds, vegetation, dolphins and manatees.

Rates (includes kayak, paddle, life jacket, safety kit)

Single Kayaks — Double Kayaks

 

SINGLE KAYAKS $15 for 1 hour $25 for 2 hours $35 for 4 hours

DOUBLE KAYAKS $25 for 1 hours $40 for 2 hours $55 for 4 hours

 

 

 

Over 15 minutes late on return requires a charge for one additional hour. Must be 18 or over to rent kayaks. Ages 5 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hours of operation: Seven days a week, 10 am to 3:00 pm. Please call for availability.

The rental operations are located at the Marine Discovery Center, 162 North Causeway on the way to the Flagler Avenue beach ramp.

REMEMBER TO BRING: Water shoes — no flip-flops — sun block, hat, sunglasses, bug spray and water. Cell phone in plastic baggie. .

Our kayaks are very stable, but if you have not kayaked before we would reccommend taking a guided tour first. Your endurance level should be considered when paddling any distance.
