PADDLE
for the "DISCOVERY"
I fell in love with the Indian River Lagoon on my
very first trip 13 years ago. Nearly a decade ago, I moved to New
Smyrna Beach and the Marine Discovery Center captured my heart.
I witnessed first-hand an amazing group of people dedicated to preserving
the Indian River Lagoon and educating the public about this treasure
in our very own backyard. Five years ago, I launched my little red
kayak, (the S.S. Minnow) and paddled the lagoon from NSB to Jupiter.
I am taking this trip again in support of MDC to help raise funds
for the costly repairs of the “Discovery”, our teaching
vessel for our youth.
