Creature Feature
During this time of year the temperature of the
Mosquito Lagoon decreases to a temperature of 65 degrees and the
water begins to clear. The last 2 weeks have been exceptionally
clear allowing visitors and locals to view the amazing diversity
of life within our local waters without dropping a fishing line
or getting wet. However, for those of you that don't mind dawning
the neoprene, a snorkeling trip is a must to really understand what's
beneath our water. One animal that many people are surprised to
find in the lagoon is the Ivory Bush Coral, Oculina diffusa.
